The exhibition "Alle origine della velocità" (At the origins of speed) was inaugurated in the ACI exhibition space in the Galleria Caracciolo in Rome, bringing together five cars that were protagonists of competitions from the dawn of time to the 1960s.
Among the cars on display is also the Cisitalia D48 from the Lopresto Collection, a one-off derived from the D46 single-seater, set up in 1948 as a works car for the Cisitalia racing team and raced by Tazio Nuvolari in Monte Carlo and by Piero Taruffi in Bari.
