Great success for the first Riunione Motoristica del Garda

Success above the expectations for the Riunione Motoristica del Garda organized by Corrado Lopresto to ingaurate a new year of events for historic cars.

Almost forty cars gathered in the 6th of January for a stroll that started from the suburb of Milan, where the headquarter of the Lopresto Collection is, and arrived in Gardone Riviera for a visit at the Vittoriale, residence of Gabriele D'Annunzio.

The cold and bad weather didn't stop the oldest cars, the pre-war, the ones which the event was dedicated for.

A 15 cars from the 20s and 30s were arrived at the Vittoriale where they were displayed in the small square near the entrance of the Vittoriale granted by the Municipality.

The participants were accepted by the president of the Fondazione il Vittoriale degli Italiani Giordano Bruno Guerri and they visit the historic residence of the Vate, the park and the new museum "L'Automobile รจ femmina" where the Fiat Tipo 4 and the very elegant Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8 of D'Annunzio are.

For the occasion Corrado Lopresto has also announced the purchase of a heirloom of the past: the bag of D'Annunzio that he threw flyers from in Vienna in 1918. The plane of the undertaking is displayed at the Vittoriale and the bag will be restored in the next months by Lopresto for the 100th years.

Among the present cars, there a are the four Alfa Romeo 6C and the three Bugatti, and also the Lancia Lambda, MG, Porsche 356, Jaguar XK120, Maserati Ghibli, Rolls-Royce, Fiat and a lot more.

For the occasion the Lopresto Collection has displayed five cars: the most ancient was the Alfa Romeo 6C 2300B Ministeriale of 1938, followed by the 6C 2500 Sport Berlinetta Touring of 1939 and the 6C 2500 Freccia d'Oro which run the Carrera Panamericana of 1950. The most recent were the Giulietta Sprint Veloce and the Alfetta Quadrifoglio telaio numero 1.
